Houston Zoo Guest Services: Ensuring a Safe and Enjoyable Visit

Houston Zoo Guest Services provides a variety of amenities and guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit for all guests. From security checks to food and beverage options, the Zoo’s guest services team is dedicated to making your experience unforgettable.

Safety Precautions

Ensuring the safety of both visitors and animals is a top priority at the Houston Zoo. All guests are required to undergo a security check upon entry, where they are asked to leave certain items behind, such as glass containers, weapons, alcohol, bikes, scooters, skates, and skateboards, as well as radios, whistles, and inflatable objects.

The Zoo also has a strict policy regarding service animals. While service animals are welcome, guests must register them at the Safety and Security window. Emotional support animals, assistance animals, or companion animals are not allowed on the premises.
