Dates and Times for Denver Zoo Summer Safari Camps in 2024
The Denver Zoo Summer Safari Camps run weekly from June 5 to August 16, 2024. Each camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an option for Late Care from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for pre-registered campers.

Scholarships Available

Kindergarten to 1st Grade
Camps for this age group focus on animal experiences, zoo expeditions, and hands-on exploration.
2nd to 3rd Grade
Camps for this age group include activities like engineering authentic solutions to real-world challenges.
4th to 5th Grade
Camps for this age group involve zoo exploration, animal encounters, and hands-on activities.
6th to 8th Grade
Camps for this age group include programs like “So You Want to Work at a Zoo” and “Conservation Camp,” which focus on careers in zoos and conservation efforts.
8th Grade Only
The “Animal Care 101” Camp provides an in-depth look at animal care and training.
9th Grade
Camps for this age group focus on conservation and wildlife conservation efforts.
Important Information and Reminders
- Registration: Parents must register their children using their own account, and members must log in to receive the discount.
- Drop-off and Pick-up: Occurs at the Special Programs Entrance (Gate 1) according to designated time windows.
- Campers’ Requirements: Campers must bring a backpack, sack lunch, two snacks, a water bottle, and a face mask.
- Field Trips: Some camps include walking field trips to the City Park Fountains or other locations.
- Safety Measures: Denver Zoo follows local, state, and federal guidelines for COVID-19 prevention and has implemented measures like face coverings, physical distancing, and group size limits.
