On Monday, June 24th, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will host its popular Dog Days at the Zoo event, where well-behaved canine companions are welcome to join their owners for a day of exploration. This event is currently sold out for June but will be available on additional dates in July.

Paint. Sip. Safari.: Artistic Exploration and Animal Encounters

For the creative-minded, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in June offers the Paint. Sip. Safari. program on June 26th. This adults-only event allows participants to create a painting of one of the zoo’s animals while strolling through the exhibits and enjoying an adult beverage. Registration is required, and the cost is $50 for members and $55 for non-members.

Stroller Safaris: Jungle Journey in June

Families with young children can enjoy the Stroller Safaris: Jungle Journey in June program on June 20th and 29th. This experience is designed for children ages 1-4 and their adult companions, inviting them to journey into the jungle and meet some of the zoo’s tree-dwelling residents. Registration is required, and the cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

Teen Program Off-Season Winter Session 2024

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Teen Program Off-Season Winter Session 2024 is now open for applications from September 1-10. This program provides meaningful life experiences that inspire teens to take conservation action both on and off zoo grounds through education, leadership, stewardship, and environmental exploration. The program is open to middle and high school students in grades 6-12, and an application fee applies.

Military Appreciation Week

In recognition of the sacrifices made by our nation’s military, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will offer a 50% discount on the day’s normal admission base price during Military Appreciation Week, which runs from June 16-22. This discount is available to all active-duty, veteran, and retired military personnel and their dependents living in the same household.

Zoo Hours and Admission

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for Dog Days and special events. Timed e-tickets must be purchased in advance and are subject to selling out on popular days.
